I can only show this one image as the engagement is still a secret but I thought it was a cool photograph. We arrived in the French Quarter around 6:30 am one recent Sunday morning. In all my infinite wisdom I thought, "hey, it will be a bit cooler, with great morning light and recently washed streets." Well...not so much.
As a quasi-street photographer (I say quasi because it's paid photography), I carry little gear, do minimal planning and work hard to use the existing lighting as part of my manipulated lighting.
You would think after all these years it would 'dawn' (funny) on me that the light changes very rapidly in the morning and with the sun coming up over the Mississippi River, it's intense.
Thankfully I have been shooting long enough to be able to 'on the fly' re-think how I was going to shoot this engagement. Here is one of the first images.
