Some Tips to Help You Look Slimmer in Your Photographs
It is really pretty easy to look slimmer and even drop a couple pounds. I am not a doctor, nurse or medical professional. I am a photographer who suffers the bloat we all dread. So here are a couple quick tips.
- 1. Reduce your salt, sodium, intake a few weeks out. Don't go crazy, just pay attention to how much is in your food.
- 2. No MSG! Monosodium glutamate
- 3. Drink a ton of water after every meal. Yes after. If you end up eating food with MSG or lots of salt water helps to eliminate the bloat.
- 4. Do not start dieting just to fit in your dress! Start incorporating healthier eating. You know what I am talking about. You don't have to stop eating bad food, just eat less of it.
- 5. Keep moving. Little things that take literally just a couple minutes. Try one of those 30 Day Challenges going around. I saw big results in 30 days.
- 6. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK! Hey if you are a few pounds over what you wanted LET IT GO. Don't stress about it. Love yourself! Love the body that is carrying you.
- 7. When you get here careful what you eat and drink BEFORE the ceremony. Our food can really bloat, add alcohol and well you know what happens. Drink water!!!
- 8. Get a fashion magazine with photos of women like you. Look at how they are posed. Copy in a mirror. Tweak movements and then when you find the best, practice.
- 9. For double chins, tilt in a bit towards the camera. Slightly lengthen your neck and drop your chin down a bit.
- 10. For hips, stand with one foot slightly back from the other, don't lock knees, twist hips slightly away from camera and upper body towards.
- 11. Lastly, I am serious about this, hire a good photographer with the proper equipment. We can help slim you, knock a few years off too. All with the correct lenses, lighting and skills. And that is BEFORE we even get to the computer. We don't have to do a bunch of photoshop work to make you beautiful. That comes from you. We just know how to capture it correctly.
I have a bunch of tips which I share with clients to help them feel at ease when its time to step in front of the camera.
