A few years ago I photographed a beautiful wedding and eventually became friends on Facebook with the groom's uncle, who is a great writer. His wife, an artist specializing in pottery teaches art therapy. He home schools their two children. I am never let down as he posts their exploits on Facebook, many times acting as if his wife can't read them. You know, admitting to feeding the kids candy, nothing really bad. Last year, after reading so many great posts and learning a tremendous amount about African Americans thanks to Jason, I felt I needed to pay it forward and photograph their family. Last week we finally got it done. Here a just a few of my favorites.
