Leigh and Josh chose a nature based voodoo wedding with Bloody Mary in City Park. Rain threatened all day and for the first time in all my years of shooting weddings, yes it rained and rained and rained. With my trusty husband, Kevin, as the umbrella holder (and random "where's waldo" shots) everyone made it through this beautiful ceremony atop the bridge over the bayou, surrounded by Southern Oaks draped in spanish moss.
And frankly, despite the rain and some defraction, the light was to-die-for creating beautiful, saturated photographs. Later, we hit the French Quarter for some street shots.
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had dodging traffic and grabbing a few drinks while wandering the streets. And in all that rain Leigh's makeup and hair remained perfect. Me, on the other hand, clown hair!
