Planning a Destination Wedding to New Orleans

Planning a destination wedding is no easy undertaking, especially if you have never been there before.

Try doing it from another country.

Below are couples from England, Germany and Canada. Each wedding was unique, artistic and fun! It truly is what you make it!

A few random tips:

1. Florists. I love Tommy's in the French Quarter. I have never had a dissatisfied client who carried a Tommy's Bouquet.

2. Dinner. In the French Quarter I am an Arnaud's and Broussard's fan for traditional New Orleans fare with a bit of creative twist. There are so many to choose from, one of the perks of hiring me is that hubby is former chef so he knows all the good places.

3. Lodging. Bourbon Orleans and Omni Royal are two beautiful and accommodating larger hotels. Nestled in the French Quarter are smaller boutique hotels such as Maison DuPuy, Audubon Cottages and Dauphine Orleans just to name a few.

4. Things to Do. Music. Music. Music. Pick up an Offbeat Magazine at any local pub or venue. Best publication for who's playing where. And don't forget Frenchmen Street where live music reigns and artists give you a chance to take home a part of our lovely city.

5. Tours. Ask me. I have a great hookup.

6. Carriage Rides. And another great hookup. My husband is a carriage driver with Royal Carriages. I can hook you up!
