I promised you a peek at this crazy elopement in February. Leighann called me a just a few weeks before they were heading down looking for wedding photographs that truly depicted who they are as a couple. The couple met at work with the funniest story I have ever heard. And never kid yourself, we are all connected in some way. Nick started his working career out as a news photojournalist and was blown away that his former boss is a friend of mine on Facebook. But, Nick didn't stop there. He also did a stint as a performer (circus type that is). Finally finding his real calling as a surgeon.
We started out as most of my elopements do, getting some fun candids on the way to get hitched. We couldn't resist stopping at the Old Absinthe House Bar on Bourbon Street then on to the French Quarter Wedding Chapel for one of Reverend Tony's unique and fun ceremonies. Once the lovely violin music was complete we headed out to my local haunt Fahey's on Dauphine. While testing my camera, Nick sent their friends to pick up something he brought from his past life. And right there in Fahey's, among my friends, Nick proceeded to demonstrate his talents escaping a straight jacket. What a show! And what a fun elopement with photos no one else will ever duplicate!
Congrats you two! And to see more from this wedding and Nick's amazing straightjacket escape, visit my website.
