Too often we get wrapped up in the planning and logistics of a wedding that before long we are exhausted and ready to give up. Planning a destination wedding, especially if you have never been there before, is very daunting.
New Orleans presents its own challenges, mostly due to so many options in a world-wide destination. I do my best to guide my booked clients towards venues, attractions, and things that most suit their personality because I know it takes a ton of digging to find those little gems, the off-the-beaten track or lessor known spots.
I digress. The point is that your wedding planning needs to be relaxed and enjoyable so here are my two best suggestions to make it easier.
Number One: Don't try to do it all in one day or on your lunch hour. Break it up into little bites. One day you will do an extensive online search for the best venue that suits you and maybe the next day will be studying reviews, menus and options. Then you have narrowed the field down enough to have time to relax and call each one for further information or a tasting appointment. Or...you could just book with me and I will help you a bit with those details. ;)
Number Two: Stop and Smell the Roses. Take breaks, go sit outside in the shade. Have a cocktail and no phone! Then just relax. No calls, no notes. Take 15-20 minutes to dream, envision and savor this moment. It is really special. So put on the brakes for a few minutes. Then you can move forward without stress. To help you along, here are some of my favorite flowers!
If you want flippin' beautiful and original portraits and candids that truly document your experience then grab a glass of wine, pad of paper, pen and your phone...take a break and dream a little, then call and tell me those dreams. ;) 504-920-8703
