I've photographed weddings and events in some pretty cool places here in New Orleans. Little, out of the way places very few destination brides would ever hear about. I will be posting from time to time little gems around New Orleans, quirky, historical, some free - yep free wedding venues. The photograph above was taken at Conti Wax Museum in the French Quarter.  Its a cool little hideaway nestled on Conti a 1/2 block up from Bourbon Street.  Rustic and urban in feel.  The actual ceremony and reception area are upstairs.  Down below is the coolest and soooo New Orleans Wax Museum.  Dark and firey in atmosphere is easily achieved here, yet those wanting more light and airy can achieve it here with the beautiful bank of windows overlooking the French Quarter and Central Business District yet steps away from the biggest party in the world.  Just being here is a party.  Below are some of my favorite venues and locations:

Conti Wax Museum

Kingsway House on Esplanade

Around Pirate's Alley and Jackson Square

The Riverwalk anywhere from the Aquarium to the French Market

Galvez Restaurant

Stay tuned for additional unique wedding venues in New Orleans ...
