What to Expect from Your Wedding Photographs

You found me through a search on the web.  You don't live here in New Orleans and are planning your destination wedding or elopement from afar.  Choosing your wedding vendors is very stressful for many.  Ensuring they are going to provide what you envision, even if your vision is directly from their website, is not an easy task.  Choosing a New Orleans wedding photographer is probably one of the most, if not the hardest choice.  You ask yourself, 'will this photographer provide images similar to what I saw on their website?'  This is the tough one.

Artists always put their best and favorite images on their sites and blogs.  Ideal weather, lighting conditions, couples who have booked sufficient time to create the magic they desire are all components of a final photograph.  Throw in unexpected location changes, stressed couples, family drama or well-meaning guests slinging their DSLRs and you have uncontrollable situations we deal with everyday.  Most, we are able to overcome.  But you have a responsibility too.  Communication.  Lots of communication. If you take this responsibility your creative can assess as to whether he/she is the 'right' one to photograph your day.  Without that it's a gamble.  That is if you want unique images with emotion and life.

Always ask to see at least one complete wedding so you can see what all the other images look like.  And most importantly you MUST both interview each other to be sure you are clear with what you want and they are clear about what you will get.

I am a photojournalism style wedding and wedding portrait photographer concentrating on moments yet providing unique and artistic wedding portraits. Your wedding images are beautiful captures of the life that is your wedding, not staged moments. In our initial conversations we discuss this so you are clear your images are unique to YOU so they may very well be different than others you see.  We live by the light, whether natural, created or a mix.  Therefore each wedding will be different depending on your venue, its lighting, size and YOU.
